Summer Camp 2011

Well I've just found some time to look at the website. I know, I should check it more often but you all know I'm a little lazy.

But why then am I writing something now? Because no one has said anything about this years summer camp! How disgraceful!

The summer camp of 2011 was held in Cornwall, home of the pasty, and England’s answer to Surfer Dudes.

The camp began, as so many of our camps have, with a sleep over at the hut. ready for the early start that would be required for the long journey down to Truro . At about 3am we loaded up the minibuses and left the hut.

The journey down took around 5 hours as we weren’t slowed down by heavy traffic, we finally arrived at the campsite and began to unload the van. Once all of the tents were put up we had some time to relax and for the drivers to get some rest after what, for them, had been a long night.

Later that day we played a wide game and had dinner and explored the campsite, with its obstacle course and little stream.

Then the stars came out and we all went to bed.

The next day we got up and had breakfast and got ready to go into Newquay for a trip to the Zoo, where we were lucky to take part in an animal experience.
